Growth in Homeschooling Driven by Push Factors

Experts point out that the surge in demand for homeschooling is primarily motivated by factors pushing families away from traditional schools. Issues such as bullying and school refusal outweigh the search for flexibility in families' decisions.

National data indicate that around 45,000 children are in home education. The Queensland region recorded one of the largest increases, with enrollments growing by more than 160% since 2020 and reaching approximately 12,000 students.
