More Than 4,000 Minors Homeschool in Spain; Families Call for Regulation
In Spain, more than 4,000 minors are homeschooled, an arrangement in which they study without attending school. Home education is currently in a state of legal limbo. The families involved are calling for the practice to be regulated.
Depending on the school calendar of each autonomous community, 4.8 million minors aged 6 to 16 are starting the new academic year in the country. The vast majority are beginning classes in accredited schools.
