Geraldo Alckmin calls homeschooling a racist proposal

The Vice President of the Republic, Geraldo Alckmin, classified homeschooling as a racist proposal. The statement referred to the model of teaching children at home associated with the United States.

The statement took place on a Sunday (4), shortly after the completion of the vote count for the first round of the Brazilian elections. Alckmin spoke alongside President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a candidate for reelection.
